This compelling literary work, part memoir and part biography, delves into the purpose, process, and contributions of some of the world's most inspiring women, including the uprising rebel Nanny of the Maroons, muse Jeanne Duval, astronomer and poet Wang Zhenyi, cherished writer Audre Lorde, visual artist and occultist Pamela Coleman Smith, funk queen Betty Davis, and more.
