EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVal 2025

through warm temperatures will be presented at Dance Base as part of the Made in Scotland Showcase, running from 13–24 August at 13:15–14:15. Tickets go on sale 1 May.

Dictations (work in development)

Premiering in 2026 in glasgow

Dictations is a multidisciplinary performance, artistically directed by Mele Broomes, that brings together live music, dance, and spoken word. Featuring an ensemble of 10 performers, including a live musicans, singers and rappers, the work delivers personal reflections and messages to loved ones.

Dictations explores the duality of control and surrender—how much of our lives we can dictate, and how much is shaped by forces beyond our control. The performance reflects on love, sacrifice, and the legacies of our relationships. The messages honour the choices, mistakes, and journeys of those who came before us, acknowledging how their experiences have shaped the voices we have today—voices that continue to influence our paths.

While life’s challenges often feel beyond our control, there is power in the choices we make and in the love and spirit of those who inspire us. Dictations is both a celebration and a reclamation of the space we carve to pursue our dreams and aspirations.
